407 cny classroom design! so festive right (; even our class is festive

hahah this is the whole view of our noticeboard. xueyan was trying to look into the cam. our class got 3rd for classroom deco! (:

this is mickey! i kinda did an outline for the shape of mickey, and then the whole class came together to paste ang baos on to mickey (: cos the theme is recycling mah! (: <3

bleh this table is a set with the previous chair. and the chairs are supposed to kinda fit just nicely at the four sides of the table (: like in a square shape. i wanted to draw it. but it proved kinda too hard and i really had no time left. maybe i could have done it if i had gotten the idea earlier

this is another chair. more western in style. (:

this design of a table is in a set with the previous design. although it doesnt show (i dont think it does) on the web but the background is a repetition of the design of the table over and over again. i had like so much trouble trying to find the right color and shade for the background so that it will not prevent the table from standing out. oh and the japanese character in the background stands for 樱 as in cherry blossom.

in this painting, the western + asian feel is kinda more extreme. cos the chairs of the table are evolved from a baroque chair. whereas the background, and about everything else is quite eastern. (:

this is one of the four final works i came up with for coursework, (the one that i like the best). i think the whole oriental feeling stands out a lot. but if you look clearly, the carving on the box (seat) of the chair actually originated from a western design. (: i think the flowery patterns on the back of the chair is quite oriental (esp. the combination of black and pink).

oh and the chair is kinda like a 摆设！so got hole in the seat dont ask me why! maybe modifications to the drawing can be done if i actually set a carved in seat for the persons butt.

so, this was my graces camp tee logo design for which i got 16/20 for. since it was a logo, i figured that it should be simple. so i just put a girl with her shadow behind her and reverted the colors for the two. this is in order to represent the slow but sure transformation that we go through throughout the four years in nanyang, learning the graces expected of us as we progress into society.

i think what i should improve on this design is to include some details in the design. albeit being simple, it would have been nice for the logo to have some sort of intricacies embeded in it. like for my design, it may have been more interesting for me to extend the tail of the “G” to form some sort of design
