pooh
pooh

this is a A2 sized sketch of winnie the pooh done in pencil. it was quite a fast sketch, hence i was quite happy with my end result. what i like the most was the face of pooh. to me, it was nice that it resembled winnie the pooh quite a bit with the silly smile on it’s face and one look at it, one can identify it as winnie the pooh.

scenery painting

scenery painting

okay, so this is just a scenery painting (: i kinda like the reflection from the trees down to the water, because it’s very simple but striking.

i like the monochromatically green color scheme and i feel that the most well rendered is the boat. again, i like the reflection in the water, as i started with a base green color for the water surface, and added in the white strokes to differentiate the trees and it adds as the effect of light hitting off the water surface (:

2D works (6) – oil painting |prawns|

PRAWNS!

PRAWNS!

i like painting these prawns! this is an A3 painting done in oil, and although i thought it’ll turn out very screwed, i thought it looked okay in the end! although it is not very clear and defined…. but at least got an abstract feel right! (:

i like the warm color tones put together, they look well fit in an environment. and i learnt quite a lot trying to paint these prawns, first by learning the sequence of the colors to be painted, how long oil paint takes to dry. and in the later half of painting this picture, i have finally learnt to make use of these properties of oil paint in my painting. (:

it was quite fun. heh. (:
