2D works (5) – oil painting
this is a A3 sized painting done in oil (: i like the painterly brushstrokes that make up the water. it really gives it a sinuous flowing feel. but besides that, i feel that the execution of the brushstrokes at the faces and the clothings of the two people on the boat was roughly done and can be more exquisite.
2D designs (1) – Graces Design
- Graces camp tee logo design
so, this was my graces camp tee logo design for which i got 16/20 for. since it was a logo, i figured that it should be simple. so i just put a girl with her shadow behind her and reverted the colors for the two. this is in order to represent the slow but sure transformation that we go through throughout the four years in nanyang, learning the graces expected of us as we progress into society.
i think what i should improve on this design is to include some details in the design. albeit being simple, it would have been nice for the logo to have some sort of intricacies embeded in it. like for my design, it may have been more interesting for me to extend the tail of the “G” to form some sort of design
2D works (4) – poster paint
Vase of flowers
this is a A3 painting done in poster paint. i liked the harmonic warm colors made use of in the flowers, the vase and the base that it is set upon. i think that i can improve on this painting by being more technical and detailed as this type of painting demands of me.
